The Great Patriot Race is a 10K, 5K & Rocking Chair event to benefit Pioneer High School Track & Field, Cross Country, Choir and Band. This year's race is scheduled for Saturday, March 30th. Mark your calendars!

The Great Patriot Race was established in 2009 by a small group of Pioneer High School music and athletic program parent volunteers. The goal behind creating a 100% profit free fundraiser of this magnitude was to supplement badly needed funds depleted by our financially strained budgets.
The first year of planning involved weekly meetings, research, brainstorming, creativity, and trial & error. The GPR contributed $5,000 to the program after its first successful event and increased that contribution to almost $8,000 in our second year. Additionally, professional timing was added as well as online registration.
Our inaugural event brought in over 100 participants and volunteers; that number doubled in our second annual event. The GPR racecourse takes participants through the surrounding Pioneer High School neighborhood. Our first and foremost priority is to support the future of our community.
